SUSTAINABILITY OUR VALUES

WORK ETHIC: With so much over-consumption in the world, there's an abundance of materials that already exist, utilising these already existing materials always makes for a unique design brief.

.sewing sunhats from dead stock and recycled jeans creating conscious fashionMISSION: To prioritise the use of recycled and dead-stock fabrics in new designs. Repairing and offering a select range of quality, vintage and recycled garments, to promote a circular wardrobe.

WHAT IS DEAD STOCK? Fabric that designers didn't use, over-runs from fabric manufacturers, surplus to requirement. We choose to shop at, The Fabric Store, for dead stock, and ethically produced fabrics made from natural fibers. You can read more about The Fabric Store here, https://thefabricstoreonline.com/pages/sustainability

COMMUNITY: I source other fabrics and recycled clothing, to repair, and re-purpose them, from local charity stores. Where donations/purchases, go directly towards contributing to local communities.

ONE TREE PLANTED: To further my passion to help with the climate crisis and the planet, I'm really excited to have just signed up to One Tree Planted. Meaning, for each purchase that's made with Sly and Company, we donate/plant a tree through One Tree Planted.

PACKAGING: Here at Sly and Company I use composting courier bags.
